“Satire on the infamous imposture of the Cock Lane Ghost with John Fielding, the Middlesex magistrate, Samuel Foote, a number of clergymen and others entering a humble bedroom where the sounds of the ghost’s knocking are supposed to be heard; on the wall are two pictures referring to other recent deceptions, the Bottle Conjuror and Elizabeth Canning. 1762.” – British Museum.
